LED Torches which can be mounted on your rifle
Lights and LED torches for hunting and firearm use have changed drastically over the last few years. Now you can get a high powered LED torch (flashlight) which attaches directly to your firearm, aiming where you point it, not where your hunting partner thinks you are aiming. The output of the new breed of torches is hugely up on the past, with many over the 1,000+ lumens mark. There is still a place for spotlights but a good LED hunting torch or flashlight is more useful then ever. Below we will highlight different LED torches & flashlights used on rifles (and weapons by police and military) for different uses. Some LED torches provide spot light surrounded by flood, other LED torches provide just a spot light.

The Wolf Eyes Sniper II LED torch (and Sniper 260 before it) are favourites of those who chase pigs in the lignum or rabbits (As well as the police and military as they usually make contact at close distances, under 100 metres). The compact size and light weight of this LED torch, combined with the strong spot and flood beam out to 100 metres from the 1,210 lumen LED, make this LED torch a very useful addition to any hunting rifle used at night. The photo below shows the amount of light coming from the Wolf Eyes Sniper II when aimed at a tree 100 metres (over 100 yards) away.

The 150 metres throw of the Wolf Eyes Hawk II hunting LED Torch has made it a favourite of those who like a combination of spot and spill in the light mounted on their hunting rifle. The 1,210 lumens are helped by the bigger head to give a perfect combination of spot and spill, so you can see your quarry if it moves. The Wolf Eyes Hawk II hunting torch utilises the Wolf Eyes standard rechargeable batteries and charger, the same as all these LED torches. The photo below shows the Hawk II aimed at an A3+ sheet of paper on a tree 150 metres (over 150 yards) away.

The aspheric lens on the front of the Wolf Eyes Defender III Hunting Torch allows the Defender III to be varied from spot to flood. When used for hunting purposes the LED torch is almost always left on spot as all aspheric lens (like a magnifying glass) flashlights lose distance quickly when moved towards flood. This LED torch utilises the standard Wolf Eyes rechargeable battery and charger which are included in the kit. The two photos below show the Defender III hunting torch aimed at an A3+ paper on a tree 225 metres away and also a close up of the same photo.

The large aspheric (magnifying glass lens) of this LED hunting torch gives it the throw of 225 metres, while the screw focus adjustment gives greater resistance to movement on heavy calibres, especially compared to normal slide adjustments. The Wolf Eyes Nite Hunter torch utilises the Wolf Eyes standard rechargeable batteries and charger, the same as all these torches. As with all Wolf Eyes hunting torches, the included tapeswitch makes it easy to opertae the light from the trigger or forestock. The photo below shows the NiteHunter LED torch aimed at an A3+ sheet of paper on a tree 225 metres (over 225 yards) away and also an insert from the same photo.
